Acoustic Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave is the most advanced non-surgical technology currently available for treating many injuries. Shockwave stimulates the healing process by increasing the blood flow to affected areas, which accelerates healing and often results in quicker relief from pain.
It also helps heal chronic inflammation, stimulates collagen, which connects and supports tissue, and also breaks up calcium deposits.

Acoustic Shockwave Therapy FAQs:
What is Acoustic Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave Therapy, also known as Acoustic wave Therapy (AWT), sends pressure waves to the lower layers of skin tissue through a series of pulses.
The pressure waves help to boost collagen production and relax stiff connective-tissue fibers.
What is it used for?
Shockwave therapy can be used to:
- Treat erectile dysfunction
- Treat cellulite and musculoskeletal pain
- Promote smoother results after liposuction or other procedures
- Treat urinary incontinence (leakage) and female sexual arousal disorder
- Treat lichens sclerosis
What are some benefits of Shockwave Therapy?
- Non-surgical, non-invasive treatment and no downtime
- Typically pain-free (can be adjusted to your comfort level)
- Quick (each session lasts roughly 30 minutes)
- Comparatively long-lasting results (up to a year)
What is Shockwave therapy for Erectile Dysfunction (ED)?
Shockwave Therapy treats Erectile Dysfunction (ED) by improving blood flow to the penis, which can enhance sexual performance. This treatment may also repair old or damaged blood vessels to stimulate the growth of new blood vessels.
How effective is it?
Before seeing results, you will likely need multiple sessions; you may also wish to schedule maintenance “tune-up” sessions. It is very effective, as evidenced by the Cambridge Study in 2017, which reported the following:
“95% of the men [in the study] had improved erections based on the SHIM Score measurement tool at last treatment. None of the men had side effects from treatment. The men’s age and the length of time with ED did not affect the results.”
Results will vary. Please consult with a JWP® provider before booking an appointment.
