Peptide therapy

Peptide therapy is an exciting, cutting-edge medical intervention used to target specific outcomes in the body for overall long-term health optimization.

Peptides are specifically-formulated amino acid sequences, i.e. small pieces of proteins, that are already found naturally-occurring in the body. When properly dosed and administered, peptides bind to specific receptors on cells and signal specific messages to achieve unique and varied outcomes in the body.

Peptide therapy may be able to address all the symptoms below.

Are you suffering from the following?

Post-workout pain

Peptide Therapy FAQs:

How many peptides are there?

Over 7,000 naturally-occurring peptides have been identified to date, and peptide therapies are gaining significance with medical providers worldwide, because of the highly-specialized and effective action of each peptide.

Why do patients like peptides?

Individuals like peptide therapies because of their noticeable positive effects, with very minimal, if any, side effects. Many individuals choose peptides to recover from injuries, reset their biological clocks, and/or achieve their health, wellness and healing goals, and prevent the maladies of aging.

What are the goals of our peptide patients?

  • Enhancing Growth Hormone Production
  • Balancing Hormones
  • Improving Sex Drive and Erectile Dysfunction
  • Improving cognition and Preventing Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Reducing Anxiety & Depression
  • Achieving deeper sleep
  • Treating Obesity
  • Reducing Inflammatory and Autoimmune Diseases
  • Repairing tissue after injuries
  • Regrowing thinning hair and reversing greying hair
  • Reducing irritability in digestion and gut issues
  • Reducing Osteoporosis
  • Recovering after intense athletic training
  • Reducing the impact of toxins like mold
  • Lose weight

How are peptides taken?

Peptides come in a variety of ways, based on your preference and how to achieve optimal effect in your body:

1. Oral capsules
2. Topical creams or serums
3. Nasal sprays
4. Belly fat injections performed at home or in office
5. Intravenous infusions
6. Ultrasound-guided injections into the injured tendon or sore nerve

How long on average does the treatment take and cost?

Treatment cycles average one to three months, although patients often choose to continue many of the benefits for years. Costs range from $150 to $350 per month.

What are the most popular peptides?

CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin
The most popular peptide combination to date, CJC-1295 is a potent Growth Hormone Releasing Hormones (GHRH), and Ipamorelin is a Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide (GHRP). They work synergistically to increase the brain signaling to secrete and produce more Human Growth Hormone. Studies show it may be able to induce HGH production in a targeted way, with a low side-effect profile.

Thymosin alpha-1
Thymosin alpha-1 naturally is secreted from the thymus gland and is an important influencer in immune function. It is FDA-approved under the name Zadaxin, as it has been shown to be effective in supporting the body’s immune system against viruses and other illness. It may be administered as an injection at home, or as an IV booster.

“Body protective complex,” or BPC-157, is a gastric peptide that has been shown in animal trials to be a feasible therapy for healing and functional restoration of gut lining, as well as soft tissue damage, with a focus on tendon, ligament and skeletal muscle healing. Promisingly, there are few studies reporting any adverse reactions to BPC 157, although there is still a need to understand the precise healing mechanisms for this peptide to have clinical indications.

Thymosin beta-4
Thymosin is another FDA-approved hormone secreted from the thymus that plays a role in tissue repair. It has been found to play an important role in regeneration after acute injury.

Epitalon is a peptide responsible for regulating metabolism, melatonin and other hormone influences in the brain. Epitalon acts as an antioxidant and is being studied for its potential anti-aging benefit of lengthening telomeres in human cells, which may be related to increased longevity.

MK-677 is an oral form of a GHRH-like-peptide, and it is studied for its potential to increase the body’s production of HGH and IGF-1 without raising prolactin levels.

Selank is an easy nasal spray and is being studied for its effect on the neurologic system for its calming properties.

Semax is another easy nasal spray that is being studied for brain function and maximizing cognition.

PT-141 (Bremelanotide)
PT-141 is a peptide that is being studied for sexual arousal in both women and men. Unlike phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors like ‘the little blue pill,’ it does not act upon the vascular system, but it works more on the sexual desire via the nervous system; avoiding the cardiovascular system. There is a known side effect of nausea in a large percentage of individuals, so your medical providers can offer anti-nausea pills if needed.

Zinc-thymulin is a topically-applied serum that mimics part of the thymus function that responds to alopecia, meaning that it may help stimulate hair regrowth. It has also been said to reverse greying hair by stimulating melanogenesis and restoring normal pigmentation in the hair.

VIP is another daily nasal spray. It has been studied as a way to detox the body and brain from mold and other biotoxins. It may help with reducing inflammation and reducing chronic inflammatory response syndromes.

Melanotan II
Melanotan II protects against UV rays of sun, has a positive effect on libido (sex drive), and helps you to gain a tan. It also has a common side effect of nausea, but this may be preventable with support from your medical team.

Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP)
DSIP is studied for its ability to act as a stress reducer in the brain, and it may have antioxidant effects. It is most often trialed to promote deep sleep. According to research, it may be effective for treating narcolepsy, normalizing disturbed sleeping patterns, and promoting slow-wave sleep.

MOTS-c is a peptide studied and found to involve in metabolic functions throughout the body. It supposedly turns glucose into usable energy, thus it is being studied for its impact on weight loss. Studies also suggest that MOTS-c may prevent diet-induced obesity because it increases energy use and heat production and improves insulin sensitivity and glucose use (specifically by activating AMPK).
